It made the first batch of Apple Watch apps easy for coders to make, but it also meant that the first bunch of apps were disappointingly slow and nonresponsive. Plus, it meant that third-party Apple Watch apps not made by Apple itself had a very limited abiity to use the watch’s sensors to collect more data. But with better tools to run apps directly on the Apple Watch, developers can make sure their apps are quicker, more pleasant to use, and actually use the watch’s sensors to their fullest potential.
